Sellers Thoughts - Pure Hell holds a blazing, often overlooked spot in punk history as one of the earliest all-Black punk bands in America, formed in West Philadelphia in 1974 by four teenagers: lead vocalist Kenny "Stinker" Gordon, bassist Lenny "Steel" Boles, guitarist Preston "Chip Wreck" Morris, and drummer Michael "Spider" Sanders.
Curtis Knight ( Hendrix's manager) signed them after a cold call to his house.and landed them a #4 UK chart covering Nancy Sinatra These Boots Are Made For Walking which led them a tour. Knight though, screwed them over and bolted with the master tapes for this album. It only took 28 years to get the album pressed and things made right.
We are a small business, but we are collectors also. This will be packed in a mailer with corner protectors, double cardboard and bubble wrap to protect the album. We get it.
