Sellers Thoughts - Bamboo was a one-off 1969 psych-folk collective spearheaded by guitarist Dave "Snaker" Ray—ex-member of the Dylan-adjacent folk-blues trio Koerner, Ray & Glover—alongside vocalist/guitarist Will Donicht and the shadowy keys wizard Daniel Lee Hall, backed by West Coast session aces like steel guru Red Rhodes. Emerging from Elektra's chaotic Paxton Lodge experiment—a Catskills acid commune of "group mind" jams—their self-titled LP crafts an elegant, labyrinthine mosaic of jazz-blues shuffles, Band-esque Americana, and honky-tonk grooves, underrated as a hazy bridge from folk roots to '70s psych haze. Think about listening to "The Band" while they were stoned and on acid at the same time.
We are a small business, but we are collectors also. This will be packed in a mailer with corner protectors, double cardboard and bubble wrap to protect the album. We get it.
